Frequently Asked Questions
How does Ultrasonic Cavitation work?
Ultrasonic Cavitation destroys fat cells permanently with low frequency ultrasound which creates bubbles in the liquid surrounding fat cells by causing vibrations that the fat cells do not have the structural capacity to withstand so they burst.
Is it painful?
No, our sessions are non-invasive and painless. Occasionally post treatment might result in some slight mild redness, but it does not cause pain. The heat is perfectly tolerable and most clients find it quite comfortable and relaxing - several clients even fall asleep :)
What will I feel during the treatment?
We use the newest unoisetion technology which reduces the “pitch” heard during cavitation. During RF, there is a slight amount of heat, so we keep the wand in constant motion which keeps it comfortable. Please let your technician know if you are feeling any discomfort and he/she will adjust accordingly.
Is this a safe treatment?
Yes, Ultrasonic Cavitation, Radio Frequency and Microcurrent are non-invasive & non-surgical procedures without anesthesia, which allows for a full social life both before and after the sessions, with no side effects.
How does Radio Frequency work?
Radio Frequency energy meets resistance in the tissue, the generated heat is deposited into the dermis causing collagen contraction & regeneration, improving wrinkles & laxity. Thermal effects of RF energy also reduce cellulite & excess body fat.
How long is a treatment?
Skin tightening sessions are 30-min, using only [RF]. Body Contouring sessions are 50-min using cavitation & radio frequency. Face, neck & chin sessions are 60-min using microcurrent & radio frequency. You can get up to 3 treatments in one day on different areas.
What happens to the released fat?
Ultrasonic cavitation helps break down stubborn fat cells, turning them into a liquid form. Your body then naturally gets rid of this waste through your lymphatic system-mainly through urine and sweat. Drinking plenty of water, staying active and eating well can help your body flush everything out more effectively.
Is this FDA approved?
Yes. Ultrasonic Cavitation was the first and only FDA-cleared, non-invasive body-shaping procedure to use focused, pulsed ultrasound energy to selectively destroy fat cells, and was FDA approved in the United States in 2011.
What if I need to use the restroom during treatment?
No problem! This is expected as we ask you to drink plenty of water in preparation for your session. We keep a spa robe on hand for quick restroom breaks, just let your technician know and he/she will pause your treatment for you.
Can this be performed on both men & women?
Yes, of course! Our treatments can most definitely benefit both males and females alike. We all have the desire to feel better in our own skin! And, please note that our certified cavitation technician is a male.
How often can I get a treatment or treatments?
Every 2 days. Your body needs time to eliminate the fat. For example: If you have a treatment on Tuesday, you can come back on Thursday or Friday. We recommend 1 or 2 times per week until you reach your expectations.
Is it possible to lose weight with Cavitation?
Cavitation is used to SHAPE the body, it is not a method to lose weight. The treatment reduces stubborn fatty pockets that just won’t go away with diet and exercise. The way your clothes fit is a great way to "measure" your success.
How many sessions are usually needed?
Many clients appreciate results from the third or fourth session, yet we recommend at least 6 and up to 12 sessions for better results, with upkeep every so often after your initial treatments. *Please note that not all clients will have the same results.
